All eyes will be on Brazil this upcoming June for the FIFA World Cup 2014. And not just the hunky, talented soccer stars, but the gorgeous, long-legged beauties strolling ocean-side.
How do they manage to look so effortlessly beautiful? I mean, c’mon, skimpy bikinis, glossy skin, loose tousled hair – seems like they spend hours at the spa to pull it all together. But really, their secret? Getting a luxe beauty treatment right on the beach – and as a fellow Brazilian, let me show you how it’s really done! I’ll show you how to make beach nail art, a foot scrub from sand, an acne treatment and toner from ocean water and more! As a bonus, I dish on products to pick up should you not be headed coast-side, but want to live the it’s-5-o-clock-somewhere lifestyle!

SEASIDE INGREDIENT: Sand
SAND SCRUB
Women in Brazil use the beach as their spa. It’s really common to use sand as a foot and body scrub – right on the beach!
LAZY BEACH BUM DIY
- ¼ cup canola or olive oil
- 1 cup dry beach sand
- 5 drops almond oil
- Mix together, use for feet, hands, elbows, knees and even legs.
TIP LINE: Scrubbing your legs one day before waxing frees up dead skin around the hair shaft giving you a cleaner wax! Also a great exfoliator if you’re planning on self-tanning on the beach! Your tan will be even and because you removed the top layer of dead skin – it’ll last even longer.
